Twofish Baking Company is more than just a local favorite. The bakery’s successes and great products have been noted by publications such as Sunset Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
The Twofish Baking Company was included in the Sonoma Coast Getaway Trip Planner under “Where to Eat” in the September 2006 issue of Sunset Magazine.
The San Francisco Chronicle included Twofish Baking Company in their round-up of great Sonoma and Mendocino bakeries, writing “Driving along Sea Ranch’s seemingly commercial-free stretch of Highway 1 on a quiet Sunday morning, you might never expect to find lines out the door for intense sticky buns, ultra-flaky croissants and fresh breads.” (October 18, 2006)
San Francisco Magazine’s guide to the secrets of the North Coast listed Twofish Baking Company, and applauded the quality of what was available: “Ever since Two Fish Baking Company opened in Sea Ranch in 2003, folks have been lining up at 7 a.m. for sticky buns oozing with buttery caramel, cinnamon, and walnuts. Even if you don’t arrive before they run out—which can happen as early as 8 a.m.—you’ll find something irresistible, from tea pastries to crusty artisanal breads. Sip lattes at one of a handful of tables inside or out, or lunch on sandwiches like wild tuna with tapenade on housemade kalamata olive bread. Bring your pooch: Two Fish also makes dog biscuits.” (December 2005)
The New York Times included Twofish in an article on The Sea Ranch, “Utopia by the Sea” where it states: “The most popular hangout at Sea Ranch is the Twofish Baking Company, which has morphed into an ad hoc community center for the growing number of full-timers, many of them aerobic grandparents.” (December 14th, 2008)
Wall Street Journal, WSJ Magazine mentioned Twofish in a article, “True West”. “Twofish Baking Company has it all from Friday challah to Sunday pulla (Finnish cardamom bread). Come early for the coveted sticky buns. (Summer 2009)
